My big project this weekend was to paint the bedroom that one day soon will hopefully be cozy and filled with belongings of our daughter. EEEhhehhhehheee!

Anyway...
I picked out a paint color while I was at work Friday. AND I must add in that I picked out the color ONLINE. Hmmmwellyes......

The new color is called Jovial, and it's never a good sign when the paint store clerk opens the paint up and yells OH WELL THAT SURE IS JOVIAL!!!
It's not that bad.
So I started getting stuff ready to paint Saturday morning. Now I must say that my husband and I have an issue with painting. He gets very nervous and stressed out when I paint. I just want to jump right in and start the job where he is one to prepare.... PREPARE and prepare and then prep and then prepare again. I'm sure this is the way to do things for some people, but for my instant gratification mind..... oh it's painful.
We always end up in a fuss over painting. Most of Saturday morning was wasted over this back and forth paint feud.
I finally did get a little trim work finished, but Sunday I painted almost all day.
And this is to prove how much I love my husband.... see I did use blue tape!!

I also got a little crazy and painted cherry blossoms....
What do you think??? ;) Now we just need bedroom furninture, wall sconces, and moulding. Oh yea, and our kid!!! ;)

Love love love it! The cherry blossoms are fabulous! You've begun your nesting - this is the most important prepping of all! Blue tape be damned, you got to get your Mama nesting on!

Oh and PS: I detest painting and am pretty peeved that I have to paint the apartment we're vacating off-white, even though it wasn't painted off-white by the previous tenants when I moved in 5 years ago. Rant off. :)
