Reality of impending flight....

I'm officially official!

Marc and I both received our passports yesterday on the day of our seven year anniversary!

BUT now I'm a bit more scared!  ;)

The long flight seems a little more real now that we have our passports.....

I'm just going to keep chanting:

We're going to get our daughter, our daughter, our daughter, our daughter.......

AND I may need some pills.

My big project this weekend was to paint the bedroom that one day soon will hopefully be cozy and filled with belongings of our daughter.   EEEhhehhhehheee!

Anyway...

I picked out a paint color while I was at work Friday.  AND I must add in that I picked out the color ONLINE.   Hmmmwellyes......

The new color is called Jovial, and it's never a good sign when the paint store clerk opens the paint up and yells OH WELL THAT SURE  IS JOVIAL!!!

It's not that bad.

So I started getting stuff ready to paint Saturday morning.  Now I must say that my husband and I have an issue with painting.  He gets very nervous and stressed out when I paint.  I just want to jump right in and start the job where he is one to prepare.... PREPARE and prepare and then prep and then prepare again. I'm sure this is the way to do things for some people, but for my instant gratification mind..... oh it's painful.

We always end up in a fuss over painting.  Most of Saturday morning was wasted over this back and forth paint feud.

I finally did get a little trim work finished, but Sunday I painted almost all day.

And this is to prove how much I love my husband.... see I did use blue tape!!

I also got a little crazy and painted cherry blossoms....

What do you think???  ;)   Now we just need bedroom furninture, wall sconces, and moulding.   Oh yea, and our kid!!!  ;)

Yard Sale Flop...

Where was everybody??? 

We worked so very hard, but alas....this was a picture taken after the yard sale. 

I think we're going to try again on another day!

In other news:

My daddy had a birthday this past Friday...

Happy Birthday, Daddy!!!

My Bmama made him a wonderful chocolate pound cake 

with rich chocolate fudge icing which we all enjoyed...

 some more than others.

My niece was left alone with simply too great a temptation....

so she did exactly what I would have done at that age...

one doe's not carry

a crazy ... uh... lazy man's load of breakable items to the car,

next weekend.

So here is one of my makeovers.  I took advantage of the long weekend, that extra day off which makes my brain rationalize the extra work and I did this:
