Beachy Goodness!
Just a few of the best beachy pictures from our trip to Emerald Isle with some good friends:
Eli, our friend's beautiful little man....
An egret in action....
A beautiful mermaid named Griffin...... created by me and my husband.
Storm clouds as I've never seen...... well, I think I was in the laundry room by this time. You know, taking cover. But everyone else was standing on the front deck enjoying the show. Not I.
My husband then proceeded to go after the storm to take some beautiful photos. Hmmm. Good job! Again, not I.
Can you see the tiny crab? It was smaller than my big toe!
Oh, my Jessa. I miss ya'll already!
Bye Bye!

Oh The Signs.....
Every night before I go to sleep, I'm a good girl and take my medicine with a glass of water. (Stupid blown-up thyroid!)
This usually means that by the end of a busy week, I have a glass collection in the bedroom.
(Ah, old habits die hard.)
But yesterday morning, my husband woke me saying, "Look at your glasses!"
After quite a few moments of wondering what he was talking about, I looked and saw what he meant..... wow.
How Random?

A living legend
Friday night, after a long, long, long, very long day at work, I reluctantly went to a bluegrass concert.
It's not that I didn't want to go; I was just super tired.
But it wasn't long after the music started, however, that my toes started tapping......
then my whole foot,
then both feet,
and then my head started nodding, too.
I just couldn't be still!
There's just something about live music that'll make you feel so good.
The first band to play was Darin and Brooke Aldridge. They were awesome!
I wasn't sure what to expect next.
But then, out came Earl. That's right. Earl Scruggs.
Now I'm not the biggest bluegrass fan on the planet, but doggone if Earl Scruggs is playing....... it's good.
I grew up watching the Beverly Hillbillies with my parents....
But to hear him play live was such a sight to see! Thanks, Earl!

with Grace....
There's a little bird
Somebody sent
Down to the earth to live on the wind
Blowing on the wind
And she sleeps on the wind,
This little bird
somebody sent
Light and fragile and feathered sky blue
Thin and graceful, the sun shining through
She flies so high up in the sky
Way out of reach of human eyes
Light and fragile she's feathered sky blue
Thin and graceful, the sun shining through
And the only time that she touches the ground
is when that little bird, little bird
is when that little bird, little bird
is when that little bird...
dies. ~ Jewel
